This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Owner of Newmarket (the “Owner”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals to lead, develop and where appropriate, implement a well-researched, informed approach to an urban community branding strategy and arts and culture blueprint which will quickly, creativity and inclusively put Newmarket into the minds of creative people as the place to live and work as further described in Part IV of the RFP Particulars being (the “Deliverables”). In accordance with Section 3.6, this RFP is non-binding. NOTE: In accordance with legislated requirements the successful proponent’s name and Subtotal Contract Amount will be publicized on the Owner’s Bid Opportunities portal following the issuance of the Notice of Award to the successful proponent. The Town of Newmarket's Council Priorities includes Community and Economic Vibrancy with a focus on "attracting and retaining amazing people and businesses to ensure Newmarket’s long-term viability through sustainable jobs, while creating a strong and unique brand that differentiates Newmarket from other communities. The project will lead the way in achieving this priority through the creation of a comprehensive, consistent, coherent, and long-term Community Brand Strategy. During the term of the contract and in accordance with the Milestones, the Consultant will implement the strategy and will utilize best practices in City Branding, economic development, placemaking and marketing and communications to identify and where appropriate implement a comprehensive strategy to both position Newmarket in the hearts and minds of entrepreneurs, businesses, talent, and visitors and to develop assets, activations and events that further strengthen our brand. The Consultant will provide a lens for the implementation of the branding including a corporate narrative, arts and cultural asset mapping and development, relevant policy recommendations and/or development, strategic alignment within the organization and the community, place making, branding deployment, marketing, and community activities. |
